The Reality of Christianity

Christianity are not as straight forwards as it seems to be. And this view is my personal view based on personal observation and personal experience. I am sure other spiritual giants (means, those Christians who are very spiritual and true to her/ his faith) might think otherwise.

When we "sell" Christianity, we tell our family and friends that Jesus is offering us eternal life. We accept Jesus, we will be saved. But, is it true??? Is it so simple??

Many people are led to believe that as long as you say "I do" or get baptised, you are automatically have eternal life. Yes you will be automatically become a Christian when you say "I do" when people ask you whether you want to accept Jesus into your life, or when you are baptised. But whether or not you are granted into the Kingdom of God, aka Heaven, that is the next step. Getting into Heaven is our primary motive when we step into Christianity. Very few Christians, I must say, understand the true reasons why we should be a Christian, why we should accept this person called Jesus. We should by no means condescend those who become Christian just to have a better life and go to Heaven. From what I see, only AFTER you become Christian, walked with God, exposed to His Words, exposed to trials, exposed to His goodness, His love, ONLY THEN you will understand the true reason why we should follow Jesus. So, those of you who already grasp that true meaning of becoming a Christian MUST continue to stay humble, and have the willingness to help other Christians in their journey with God.

NOT ALL CHRISTIANS GO TO HEAVEN. If you don't believe :
21.“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
(Matthew 7:21-23)

Imagine those people who were able to cast out demons, did wonders and miracles, who prophesied, got rejected! What about us? who merely do our devotionals only when we are free, who pray only when we are not tired? I think we have a good chance of being rejected right there at the "gate". But this verse also teaches me one other thing. Church leaders, Spiritual giants, might not necessarily have a "Golden Ticket" to Heaven. Doing a BIG thing in God's name does not make you a citizen of God's Kingdom.

Only those who does the will of God, will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. If I don't remember wrongly, I ever post a blog on what is the will of God. So you can read that if you want to know what it is.

Now, why I say that Christianity is not straight forward? It is because after you receive Christ or get baptised, only then you will begin your journey to Heaven. God won't teleport you to Heaven. You have to walk there. And as how we can get lost and distracted when we are trying to go from point A to B, we will be distracted and maybe lost, on the way to Heaven. You won't reach Heaven until you reach Heaven. I hope you know what I mean. You have not reach your house until you are IN the house. Remember that God won't teleport you there. You have to go through the journey. And you will only enter, if you stay on the right road, and reach that gate with a clean soul. Only Jesus can clean our soul, and only Holy Spirit can keep us in the right path, and only US who can tell ourselves to want to be guided and surrender to God.

This journey is not easy. I must say it is difficult. BUT we have a God who is all loving, understanding, powerful, ALIVE, real, and love us so much beyond our understanding and comprehension. He will carry us, He will guide us no matter how difficult. He will send people to minister to us. The only thing we need to do is to be willing to be guided, be willing to be ministered, and willing to shed our pride and humbly ask God to lead us.

The first important step after becoming a Christian is to find a good "home" aka CHURCH. I don't mean a nice looking church, or a big church, or an expensive building Church. What I mean is find a group of Christians who stay true to the Bible, who knows and PRACTICE God's most important command, which is LOVE GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, ALL YOUR MIND AND ALL YOUR SOUL and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOUR AS YOURSELF. Ask God for guidance to point you to the correct Church, correct cell group. However, God might point you to a "wrong" Church to build up experience, build up your faith, or build connection. Well.. we cannot fully understand God's plan. But just know that His plan is the best plan. Because only God have the FORESIGHT AND OVERSIGHT (quoted from Pastor J.John).

God bless you!
