The source of eternal life
I am always intrigued by how Catholics and Protestant are considered as two different religions, instead of one religion different denominations.
Martin Luther stated that humans are saved by faith alone. While Roman Catholics believed that Salvation is attained by Grace, Baptism and Good works. These three has to be done in order for us to be saved.
Yesterday this thought came to my mind. It doesn't matter who believe what or how, what matters is BOTH Catholics and Protestants are saved! Both of us attained salvation. We are saved! We are baptised in the name of Christ, we believed in the name of Christ.
Look at this : Acts 16:30-31 “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
My dear brothers and sisters from the Roman Catholic church, do you believe in Jesus Christ? I am sure you do. Do I, a Protestant believe in Jesus Christ, oh yes! So do that make us saved in the name of Christ?
Many Protestants see the Roman Catholics as a "cult", worshipping Saints. And the Roman Catholics see Protestants as rebels and definitely lost and for sure are not saved. The Roman Catholics see themselves as the true religion, therefore other denominations cannot be a true Christians. I really really desire to preach a sermon one day to a big crowd educating all the Christians about this.
We have a real spiritual warfare going on in the very midst of us. The Satan are working really hard to withhold our non-believer family and friends. Imagine all denominations unite together to pray against Satan. Oh how they will crumble!
I hope people will realise that doing a different religious rituals does not make you more or less Christians. God looks at your heart, not your outward deeds.
