Unhinged Door

Image
My relationship with God is up and down. Sometimes, I am so devoted to Him that I commune with Him every single day. Sometimes, weeks could just passed by without me having a quality personal time with God. Recently, I went through such "dry" time. I went through my days without being aware of what God want me to do.  One day, I decided to sit down and pause and come back to God. God gave me 2 words that day. "Unhinged Door". I realised that God wants to tell me that without Him, I am like an unhinged door. I can continue to exist in the world, but I cannot be used or function as I should be.  The Holy Spirit is like the "hinge", empowering me to be used by God to do His good work.

#VOTD Reflection - John 4:11

My reflection from John 4:11   ‘Sir,’ the woman said, ‘you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? In our daily situation, as we go on our daily lives, trying to balance and juggle many responsibilities, God is actually always there waiting for us to come into our lives to help us. The Holy Spirit (the Living Water) empowers everyone who believes and accepts Jesus Christ as their LORD and Savior, to overcome impossible situations.. 0 "You have nothing to draw with" - refers to Human limitation "the well is deep" - refers to unsolvable Circumstances "Where can you get..?" - refers to Clueless-ness The above words come to mind when I read John 4:11 .. Those negatives, somehow stops us from coming to God. Have you ever been in that kind of situation where we simply cannot do anything about our problems, bad things just keep coming and you can't see the end in sight?  Don't belittle what God can do for you...

My #ROTD Reflection - Habakkuk 1

Reading of the day : Habakkuk 1 Habakkuk's complaint resonates in all of us. We too long to ask God, why is there suffering? Why the children or the innocents die of violent death? Why the wicked flourish and good people die? Quoting from Habakkuk 1:1-4 .... 1 The  oracle which Habakkuk the prophet saw. 2 How long, O L ord , will I call for help, And You will not hear? I cry out to You, “Violence!” Yet You do not save. 3 Why do You make me see iniquity, And cause  me  to look on wickedness? Yes, destruction and violence are before me; Strife exists and contention arises. 4 Therefore the law is ignored And justice is never upheld. For the wicked surround the righteous; Therefore justice comes out perverted. These issue had been happening since thousands years ago. And it is still happening now. I wonder, were there more violence than today? I believe that humans are capable in becoming more wicked as we evolved. Humans are able to think of ways to trap other humans. ...
