God has given me a new name ..

Last night when I was praying and conversing with the King, I pondered about our souls. Were our souls have been created since the beginning? or they were created when our hearts started beating in our mother's womb. If anyone has an insight to that, please I would like to hear it. 

Back to the topic, while I was pondering about that, I was asking the Lord whether I would have a name, when my soul is created. Immediately, I had an impression on my heart, a name, but it was not clear at first. However I was certain that it contains H and L. It sounds like Helix but it is more gentle. Suddenly, my mouth uttered the word "HELIA". I uttered that word like on impulse. I was shocked myself and I am a strong believer of the instruction where you have to test every spirit.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

I thank the Lord for the word ( I didn't know that it is a name), then I googled (my phone was beside me) the word "Helia". I was so amazed by what I found! :

"The name Helia is a Greek baby name. In Greek the meaning of the name Helia is: Of the sun."

I am so ecstatic that God has given me a new name! Helia! So I thanked the Lord and worship Him. Yes, I still doubt a little that the name really comes from the Lord. So I told myself, eventhough that it is not from our Lord, it is a nice name anyway, and I am going to adopt it. I don't think I will go as far as changing my birth name to Helia. I am not sure what does God want me to do with that name. 

So, after conversing with God, I go on to reading my Old testament. I am currently reading the Book of Judges. I am reading Judges 5 - 8 last night. When I was reading Judges 5, a particular verse send a shiver down my spine (metaphorically) , and immediately I bowed down completely on my bed and thank the Lord as He gave me an assurance that He is the one who given me that name. 

Judges 5 : 31

31“So may all your enemies perish, Lord!

But may all who love you be like the sunwhen it rises in its strength.” 

Praise the Lord!!! I am indeed blessed to receive such a special blessing, a new beautiful yet powerful name from the Lord Himself! He assured me through this verse, the word "sun" is an assurance word from Him to let me know that He chosen "Helia" for me! Hallelujah! God is good! His love endures forever!

Dear Father in Heaven, thank you for your blessings and provisions that You have showered upon us. Help us to see even the smallest blessings from you in our life. Helps us to be grateful in even if we feel that there is nothing good coming our way. Mould us to be like Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we may stand blameless, perfect in Your presence when You come down to Earth to fetch us home. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen!
